For the first time ever, the Reptile Super Show will be a part of an all-pet expo, the L.A. Pet Fair. The event will take place August 7 and 8, 2010, at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds/Pomona Fairplex.
Reptile Super Show Promoter Ramy Guirguis, who has held the Reptile Super Show at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds/Pomona Fairplex in years past, came up with the idea for the L.A. Pet Fair. "I thought, 'Let's create something where we could bring in a lot of other pet lovers all on the same weekend,' " he said.
The Aquarium & Pond Expo (APEX) and Pet Expo USA, which features dogs, cats and other animals, will be a part of the L.A. Pet Fair. At more than 100,000 square feet, the venue will feature unique animals, entertainment, new pet products and supplies, animal rescues, educational workshops, petting zoos and an interactive tide pool. Special guests will include Shorty Rossi from Animal Planet's "Pit Boss" TV show, actress and animal rescuer Linda Blair and Tyson the skateboarding dog.
The Reptile Super Show will have rare and exotic reptiles, amphibians, scorpions, tarantulas and more.
Guirguis said that the L.A. Pet Fair will present a unique opportunity to bring new people into the reptile hobby.
