By Jamie K. Reaser, Ph.D.

The microscopic fungus known to scientists as Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (or “Bd” for short) belongs to the chytrid fungi group, and the disease it causes is called chytridiomycosis. Bd has devastated many amphibian species around the world. To learn more about Bd and to find out what you can do to help, check out the following links.
