Urban Dinosaurs

Meet the water monitor’s big needs.

I had the classic childhood fascination with dinosaurs. As an adult, I no longer wet my bed, but I still love dinosaurs! Meet the water monitor (Varanus salvator), one of the largest lizard species kept as a captive. These potentially large varanids aren’t your average pets next door, but who says you want to be average?
