The tomato frog’s appearance is guaranteed to grab your attention.

Among all the popular amphibians in the pet trade, tomato frogs (Dyscophus spp.) stand out as some of the most appealing. For one, they’re bright red. Combine this with their rotund body structure, unique skin secretions and cute microhylid faces, and their popularity is more than understandable.
