Rhinoceros iguanas are large, heavy-bodied lizards with equally large and complex personalities, and substantial space requirements. They can live for more than 60 years, and owners must commit to decades of daily care, personalized attention and financial responsibility. There are no shortcuts when it comes to keeping these magnificent creatures healthy. The basis for their captive husbandry is best derived from research into their natural history, and dedicated caretakers will continually refine their setups as new information is discovered.
