Serious herpers wanted! Each year Exo Terra explores an exotic locale for herps. In the fall of 2010 the team will travel to Cameroon, Africa. Want to go? Here’s your chance. Exo Terra has room for one lucky winner to accompany the crew on the Exo Terra Cameroon Expedition 2010 — a trip worth thousands of dollars!
How to Enter:
You must be at least 18 years old. The expedition will include a lot of hiking in areas where the ground may be uneven and unpredictable. You must be in good health and able to navigate the terrain under your own power.
Create your submission. Include no more than 500 words explaining why you would be the best herper to accompany this distinguished group of professionals. Also include a high-resolution digital picture or a high-quality print of you and your reptiles. Every submission must include your name, complete address, daytime phone number and e-mail address, and your pets’ genus and species.
You can submit through the mail or online. Mail text and photos to: Cameroon Contest, REPTILES magazine, P.O. Box 6050, Mission Viejo, CA 92690. E-mail submissions with high-resolution images as attachments to reptiles@bowtieinc.com. Type “Cameroon Contest” in the subject field.
E-mailed images must be saved at 300 dpi, measure at least 3 inches by 5 inches, and be formatted as TIFF or JPEG files.
Due to the number of submissions we normally receive, photos cannot be returned, and they become the property of REPTILES magazine.
Insider Tip:
The person who wins the contest will be one who demonstrates a keen interest in reptiles, a love for the outdoors and a taste for adventure in an exotic country. We are looking for a go-getter who can bring special contributions to the expedition. Do you have a knack for writing field notes? Are you a good photographer? If you have any skills that you think would be helpful to this expedition, by all means let us know. Good luck!
Note:
Some details of the expedition, including exact departure date and duration, are still being finalized. Check for updates in future issues of REPTILES magazine and right here on ReptileChannel.com!
