Answer: Clown Treefrogs (Hyla triangulum) are magnificent rain forest amphibians found along the streams and bodies of water where they reproduce. The male clown treefrogs’ call sounds like marbles clicking together, and is a common, pleasant and rhythmic sound of the night throughout the Amazon Basin. Clown treefrogs feed on small insects at the water’s edge, which is also where female clown treefrogs deposit their eggs in the floating mats of vegetation or in the emergent vegetation of the water. These frogs are truly magnificent and aptly named for their stunning painted bodies … Bring in the Clowns!

Winners: 10 winners are randomly selected and will receive 500 Club Reptile points. Winners will be notified by email.
