Answer: The Marine Toad or Cane Toad (Bufo marinus) is a native from south Texas and south Sonora (Mexico) through the Amazon Basin in South America. They are omnivorous and eat just about anything. Their glands contain a milky-white substance commonly called "bufotoxin," which the toad uses as a defense against predators. This toxin can cause irritation in humans and animals, particularly when the toxin comes in contact with the eyes or mucus membranes. For small pets this toxin can be lethal!

Winners: 10 winners are randomly selected and will receive 500 Club Reptile points. Winners will be notified by email.
