The mystery skull is the Amethystine Python

Answer: Amethystine Pythons (Morelia amethistina) are Australia's largest snakes reaching lengths of 16 feet. Amethystine pythons are found throughout the tropical forests of New Guinea, Indonesia and Australia. Amethystine pythons feed on birds, bats, and small mammals such as rats and possums. Amethystine pythons have also been known to hunt wallabies as adults. Amethystine pythons are amazing climbers and even as adults can be found lounging in the trees. Amethystine pythons are truly gems of nature!
