Answer: Pigmy Rattlesnakes (Sistrurus miliarius), are also commonly referred to as a pigmy rattlers (pygmy) or ground rattlers. Pigmy rattlesnakes are found in the southern United States. They have a tiny rattle that can barely be heard by humans and is often mistaken for an insect noise. Pigmy rattlesnakes hide among leaf-litter and ambush their prey, which includes lizards, frogs, small mammals and insects.
