The mystery skull is the Eastern Indigo Snake

Answer: Eastern Indigo Snakes (Drymarchon corais couperi ) are state and federally threatened species. There is no question that this heavy-bodied, glossy, bluish-black snake is an impressive beast. There is also no question, as those who have kept eastern indigo snakes have learned, that they are a messy snake. Eastern indigo snakes are not constrictors but have catholic tastes. Eastern indigo snakes eat frogs, toads, salamanders, birds, small mammals, lizards, baby turtles and other snakes, including pit vipers.
