There really needs to be a caresheet for Florida Snapper Turtles. I've found that they are as easy to buy as ball pythons are, and because of this, they keep getting abandoned by new owners who realize that *gasp!* a snapper turtle isn't as friendly as say, a box turtle would be. Recently acquired a Florida snapper; it was a rescue case. We figured that it was someone's pet that they released, because Florida snappers should not be this far north where we live. He was very lucky that we found him in time, because he was severely dehydrated and covered in grass, some kind of brown, frothy stuff. and bird excrement. I know the basics of caring for him, obviously(I would never keep a herp without knowing its needs), but there needs to be a detailed caresheet for Florida snappers on here, because they really ARE extremely easy to buy. Quite easy to take care of, too; you just need to be prepared to deal with the typical snapper attitude.
