For others what have you learned on keep feeders alive? I know that if you keep meal worms in a cool/cold place then they go dorment for up to a month but should be woken up from time to time. Any other ideas?

Yes, I believe that turtles and tortoises (chelonians)are far more interesting reptiles than snakes. They are more diverse in the eating habits, they come in multiable sizes and shapes and they are far more active than snakes.
