 About 4 inches in 1999. approx. 9 inches now 2008.
 Great personality with beautiful shell and skin markings. She is the jewel and oldest of my eight adopted turtle family.

Food Fun indeed
She does like her naps, but she certainly does have her moments of energy. She likes to follow the cat around, and sometimes goes on "rampages" through the apartment. As for food, her favourite thing is shrimps. She is very impatient about it and doesn't even wait for it to reach the water. It's amazing she's only bit me once!Come visit me, Morag.

Hey, thanks for the info. Since she's about full RES size now I'll probably never find out, oh well. For all I know she was up for adoption because she outlived someone. I have a feeling she's oldish, as she isn't terribly active and takes a lot of naps. In any case, I love my pensioner and/or lazy turtle!
I think it's hilarious that they actually needed to mention that bit about counting the rings. Guess a fair amount of people have trouble distinguishing everything else that has rings from trees.

Clever word-play! We are "shelling" out votes today, too! Mostly because we want a lot of friends! Yup! Us pets here are quite spoiled! Hehehe. Momma's little brother was going to name ShellShock Squirtle. But then he changed his mind and decided to name his turtle after an attack that Squirtle knows! And so, ShellShock it was! We are sad to say, however, that a few weeks ago ShellShock escaped from his pond and we still have not found him. So for now, Lucy and Crush, our two Easter Box Turtles, are inhabiting the pond! Can you believe that they go for swims? Momma never knew EBT's would do that! It's rare when they do that. Momma is going to try and get pictures of it. Hope to hear from you soon!

My redfoots love any dark leafy green, romain, ecarole, endive, dandelion greens. To a lesser extent they will eat, kale, collard greens, mustard greens. They love fruit. Strawberries are their favorite. I feed strawberries, bananas, mango, oranges, grapes, etc. It's a good idea not to go too heavy on the fruit or they may get diarhea. Occasionally I will give them a little raw stew meat or night crawlers. A good varied diet helps make a healthy animal. Hope this helps. Come visit me, The Crew, Red & Kitty, Buddy & Cherry.
