RIP my best pal PETRIE 106651...
I HAVE A MESSAGE I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU...THIS IS THE OWNER OF MY BEST PAL PETRIE:
So I've finally come back on RC to tell everyone what happened. Little Petrie passed away this past Saturday night. It was the worst day of my life. I want to educate people on what happened so NO ONE will have to go through what we did. I know Petrie would want the same thing and she'd want all of her friends on RC to know. Petrie was extremely calcium deficient from laying so many eggs. (She laid 4) I knew she would be. I have my pet store on speed dial so I call them constantly when things happen. They told me to make sure she eats and gets enough calcium so I made sure that I had food in her cage at all times for her. But it wasn't enough. She wouldn't eat. Knowing her history of not eating for weeks, sometimes months at a time, I thought she'd eat when she was ready. Well, it was too late. Laying eggs takes so much out of a reptile I didn't even realize and no body told me. She ended up going into a comatose state and dying within hours or me taking her to the hospital. The thing with reptiles is they don't show any signs of distress until it's too late. Petrie was fine, hopping around and on my shoulder just hours earlier. The doctor said this was the most common reason that people take their reptiles in. My advice to everyone out there: if your reptile lays eggs and doesn't eat even 2 days afterwards, TAKE HER IN to have her get a dose of calcium or whatever it is she may need. Petrie had another 10 years with me (at least) so please if your reptile lays eggs, be AWARE and make sure they get enough of the calcium and the vitamins that they need. I AM A GIRL...!!!
It is still me! Mommy just wasn't sure what I was, so she assumed that I was a boy...NOT!!! Since my pal PETRIE suggested that I shouldn't change my name drastically, I picked SPONGELINA~pronounced SPON-GE-LINA (one of many names derived from SB that she listed...SPONGEBOBINA was good, too!). It is perfect because mommy's one and only daughter's name is ANGELINA! She was thrilled when she found out about my new name.
Now that I'm a lot bigger, the edge of the shell that meets my tail is definitely shaped like a "U" (instead of a "V"), which means that I'm a girly girl! Mommy swears that it was shaped like a "V" before! Yeah, right...she just wasn't paying attention.
If it changes back to a "V", I'll let you know (LOL)...and back to SB I'll be. Now my initial is SE.
No more confusion...what a relief! Mommy is working tomorrow, and a boring charge nurse class on Wednesday. She'll be off on Thursday, but it will be one of those super busy days. Here's a vote and later! SE~QUEEN of LOVE.Come visit me, SPONGELINA BALLERINA~Brrrr. ..it's gettin' chilly!!.

Another short blog...BLAH!
I worked three days straight, off one day (tomorrow), and another three days!!! I think I've made a BOOBOO when I plotted my schedule. I have to get up early tomorrow. I'm taking my two older kids and dogs to The WALK for a good cause. I raised money for the local shelter. This is the second year I've done this and I LOVE IT! I pigged out at our Sunday potluck (as I always do). My apple pie ala mode was a hit! I got gift cards from hubby. One is for Lucille's BBQ (the food is superb) and the other one is for GODIVA! The guy knows me too well...LOL!
Today, we went out to see STAR TREK. You gotta watch it...it was awesome! I grew up watching STAR TREK.

Hey Koonta, I havent had much time latley to vote because I've had to take care of a bunch of kids-What really sucks is that their relatives that are staying with us for now (they claim)They just love to scream their heads off, :( which has been waking up Tank, Lt (little tank), and a newly formed family member, Squirt.By the way, theyre my desert toroises that are still mostly hibernating.It also makes Samy and Tigris freak out.What really sucks is that when they scream the turtles are outside and the beardies are in a completely different room!Poor guys. Call me...KING of LOVE!
Today, mommy finally took the time to post the pics of my shell. Not only do I have a heart pattern, but a crown pattern as well. It's upside down (it really depends on how you look at it) and it's right below the heart. Check those pics out posted on my page. I'm officially the "KING of LOVE"! What a perfect timing to earn such title...with Valentine's Day just days away. Here's my mommy...it's her turn to say something: I was so tired after a long day at work yesterday, I didn't sign on RC and blog. It was gloomy and cold, with occasional rain. We went to the mall and let the kids play at the play ground. There was not much we could do with the on and off rain. The mall was empty for a Sunday...guess we are in recession. My computer died it took a lot of cash to fix it and a while for us to save it up. It seems like last year was every thing break year. We've had to replace so many appliances in this house it's rediculous. The snakes are matting still no pregnancies though. I'm thinking next year we'll have a better shot, but I'll take it this year! We got a female great pyrenees puppy on Friday, but we have to wait to bring her home till this comming Friday. She's so cute all 20 pounds and growing. Diogi's going to be so happy to meet the new puppy finnally some one who can play at her speed! Our other pyrenees is pretty old now and Diogi is 1 1/2 so thier energy levels are quite different. Man...between helping with my son's science project and volunteering in their classrooms, I hardly had any time left for anything! I missed ya! It's cooling down again and we did get some rain we much needed. SB is still eating, although not much. I'm just happy that he started to eat again.
