about four years ago, i rescued a horned lizard i named, Dante, who i got from a neglectful owner. i 'fostered' him for a few months, and found him a loving home, with some good friends of mine. I get to see him every once and awhile, and i think he's quite happy.
horned lizards are definately well-worth the effort, and i'm glad you have such a wonderful lizard, like Fry.

horned lizards
Are horned lizards hard to keep due to their strict diet of ants? Water dogs usually eat inly live fish or shrimp but I weaned mine on to fish flakes.Come visit me, Crayola, Jackson, Skippy, Lenny, Frank, Perry, vienna sausage, spot, Ax, Transparent, Hulk, shiloh & Chamele.

Magnificent Madison got my vote. I can close to purchasing one of this thorny devils about 3 years ago, but I did not know much about them at the time. The guy at the expo said that they only ate ants. However, thanks to you and other info that I have read, I now know that they will eat other things. Madison looks awesome and thanks for sharing.

Actually I miss having actual seasons, especially the cold/snowy winters ;-) Yes I have a wire mesh enclosure for them to get real sunlight when the sun shines on my patio for a few hours in the afternoon. yeah they are a little tricky to keep alive but as long as they get there ants they will make it i had problems getting his weight under control but he is plumping up again had to give him waxies every day on top of the ants winter season in wisconsin ants are hard to come by but fry is to a good eater most people have trouble getting them to eat well mine just cant eat his fill every thing i give him he puts down even super worms dont slow him downCome visit me, maxine, Grumpy, bender, wisconsins wild, blondie, Bob, wild, bearded dragon babies 2nd batch, tuco, aki, kermit, nuggett, fry & floyd.
