Sorry for taking so long to reply! But thanks on my compliments! Momma loves me very much. I have grown a lot since I've been with her! Sad thing is I escaped a bit of time ago and when Momma found me, I had a very bad laceration on my side, near my head. So she rushed me to the vet. They gave me 15 stitches. Then performed surgery the next day to repair the muscle that had been torn!

sweet box turtle!
i used to have a box turtle when i was a kid she was very old almost 50 when i got her she made it another 10 years and will always be a big part of why i love reptiles still to this day so enjoy this pet it will be with you for a very long time also thanks for the comment have a voteCome visit me, maxine, Grumpy, bender, wisconsins wild, blondie, Bob, wild, bearded dragon babies 2nd batch, tuco, aki, kermit, nuggett, fry & floyd.

I would love to get a tortoise, and wouldn't mind having a box turtle; it kills me that I don't have the space for one. Rufus looks wonderful.

cool! kinda wish i had gotten a cell phone but seems how my old MP3 player went all wacky on me my parents got me a new one:)(and it has a TOUCH SCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D) and i am guessing that you have a really big family so you had to play secret Santa?(sorry if that sounds rude:( ) i also got a BEAUTIFUL little turtle pendant and a DENIM purse and my very first WALLET!:D:D:D:D:D:D and my sister got a toy story 3 dominoes and (toy story 3) game of Ker plunk ummmm do you have a PS 3? cuz if you do we might be able to play together my dad says that we can connect with other PS 3s:) but of course i need to ask my parents how to do that and if i can:) but any way i has just wondering:) Come visit me, Nancy, Mayhem & the awesome herps i find:D.

that's good that you got your Christmas tree and that's funny that we decorated the trees on the same day. and yeah that's pretty much what i was thinking LOL! well what i want for Christmas most is a ornate box turtle 1 becuz Nancy really needs a tank mate and 2 i really want one:) so if you could ask the big red dude for a reptile for Christmas what would it be? thanks:) that will really help me out when i burmate Nancy next year:) and i know how parents can be but seems how my dad has a little fridge he will let me burmate her in there if he didn't then Nancy would have to stay up all winter for a long time! but yeah parents are kinda annoying you wouldn't believe how ling it took me to convince them to let me even get something with scales!!!! my dad is scared of reptiles and my mom used to keep a basilisk (not anything from like Harry Potter or anything like that:p) so i guess she was afraid i would get sick or something(shrug) so have you got your tree yet? we got ours just a couple days ago and put all the fancy things up yesterday:) Come visit me, Nancy, Mayhem & the awesome herps i find:D.

me i like zoo med the best but i haven't really used anything else:( yeah you know i requested something on either three toeds or ornates and well i guess anuf people requested something on ornates:) yeah i saw a couple pics of those orange-eyed crocodile skinks and i was wondering what they where well now i know:):p so hows Rufus doing? you know what the name of that orange-eyed skink reminded me of when i was really young i had this imaginary cat i called orange eyes:p kinda odd huh:) Come visit me, Nancy, Mayhem & the awesome herps i find:D.

cool:) and i have asked a couple people on turtle shack and they say it is okay:) but i still need to do some research:) do you know anything about cherry head tortoises? i have been thinking about going back on my decision and maybe getting a cherry head tortoise but i think that i will stick with the ornate but i would like to know more about cherry head tortoises:) Come visit me, Nancy, Mayhem & the awesome herps i find:D.

yeah Nancy LOVES them! and i not real sure on the nibble tho i think they can:) and i am glad that you are going to give her a cuttle bone every now and then:) i have a q OK i know that next year i am going to get a bearded dragon but i really want a tortoise as my 3rd herp and shortly after i get the beardie i want to get a tortoise to make sure that Nancy doesn't feel that she is the only herp with a shell:) so i would really like it if you would help me out:) Come visit me, Nancy, Mayhem & the awesome herps i find:D.

hmm well you should try again every now and then:) and thank you SO SO SO SO SO much! me and my dad found a bunch of wild meal worms and i was so happy i forgot to look it up:p (how inbearising) hm petland? there's one of those in Springfield:) and they do sell herps:) but it's a shame that the one you got Rufus from doesn't sell herps anymore:( Come visit me, Nancy, Mayhem & the awesome herps i find:D.

Three-toed Box Turtles
I got Rufus at a pet store called Petland in Novi, Michigan (they don't sell herps there anymore though.) Moving on, I put in th cuttle bone with Rufus for a month or two and that's why I was so suprised she didn't take notice to it (I even tried scenting it with worm slime!) And yes, my care book said it was ok to feed Three-toed Box turtles mealworms, except it also said don't give them too much during a feeding because it will cause regurgitation (on account of the exoskeletons.) Or you could just feed Nancy freshly molted mealworms that lack an exoskeleton. I hope my answers are helpful and good luck!Come visit me, Slithers *R.I.P*, Monty *R.I.P* & Rufus.

Those Three-toed Box turtles are little angels aren't they? By the way, I have already tried to give Rufus a cuttle bone and she did not even give it the slightest notice. Instead, I just give her whole food (not chopped up with a knife), but sometimes I have to cut it just a bit.

my turtle Nancy is a three toed box turtle! of course shes a lot younger and not as wise as yours yet but she is my little angle!
