My turtle has been buried in the substrate ever since he came out of the egg, until the day before yesterday, when he got up to make his pond dirty. :-) I'm going to try feeding him today, though he still may not be hungry. How are your critters?Come visit me, Uno, Smaug, Al RIP, Flitz & Mo & his friends.

I found my turtle's egg—there was actually 5 of them, but 4 were no good so I had to throw them away. :( I actually didn't think this guy was going to hatch, because there was a tiny hole in the egg, but it wasn't oozing much, so I figured I'd give it a try. I'm so happy it hatched though! I didn't have an incubator, I just kept it warm and moist in some dirt. I've actually hatched 3 clutches of black ratsnakes before, but I didn't keep any. From what I've read, box turtles sometimes stay a few days in their egg shells, but I'll get some pics of him when he comes out. :-)Come visit me, Uno, Smaug, Al RIP, Flitz & Mo & his friends.

Yep, I just put it on RC. :) It's still sitting in the egg shell—it keeps on turning round and round. Last time I saw it, it had its head buried in the shell. Funny critter. Come visit me, Uno, Smaug, Al RIP, Flitz & Mo & his friends.

54 species!? Wow... that's a lot. My collection is pretty dinky. I have a new pet though—I hatched an eastern box turtle on Wednesday. It's SO small! Come visit me, Uno, Smaug, Al RIP, Flitz & Mo & his friends.

It would be fun to get him a friend or two, since they're one of the few social snakes. :-) It's so funny when they all coil up together. Mine used to get so excited about eating and it would eat out of my hand. My snake ate like a pig too. :D I've always thought these snakes would be fun to breed, but I can't do that right now. :( I don't have any more room so I'll have to survive with the reptiles I have. :-) I haven't ever kept any boas or pythons, though I would LOVE to. I think the first one I get will probably be a Peruvian BCC -- they're absolutely gorgeous.Come visit me, Uno, Smaug, Al RIP, Flitz & Mo & his friends.
