Hey it might be that i only feed mine about once a month if she ( i mean your snake) was fed more than that in captivity than she could be younger but grows more because of the rate of feed. or she could just be older (: Come visit me, Major & Sergeant Stripes.

Thanks for leaving a post about Striker!! i came to return the favor and i left you a vote! ive been thinking about getting a ball python as well as the corn i already have... i will have to talk to my parents :)
When i brought him to church i just kept him outside and anyone that wanted to see or hold him had to come out... i also made sure i was right there to oversee how people were handling him. it was really fun and actually worked pretty well!!Come visit me, Striker.

Sweden is a small country but we actually study English in school from 3rd grade, and also we have a lot of American music and tv-shows etc. so we have lots of nice ways to practice. We're lucky that way :)Come visit me, Kirabi.

Thank you so much for the nice comment! I was really happy when I stumbled across Reptiles Magazine in a store here in Sweden the other day and through that found my way to Club Reptile. It's so nice to meet other reptile lovers! And regarding your question, Kirabi is not a Swedish name or word. Actually I kinda made it up the day I got her. I misread the name of a brand of turtle-food and thought that it might make a nice name.

Thanks for the vote! We left a vote for you too! To answer your question, yes, we did rescue our gopher tortoise we named Rescue. We found her injured in our yard. She must either gotten attacked by the pit bulls next door who hate tortoises or a wild animal in the woods on our property. They probably thought she was dead and finally left her alone and she managed to dig under our fence. They have sharp claws and are great at digging. When we found her we thought she was dead at first. She was scared and didn't want to come out of her shell. Finally she poked her head out. We doctored her shell and released her in a safe spot on our property. We have several acres with several gopher tortoises that decided to take up residence. She healed up nicely and made a nice burrow on our property and gets along well with the other tortoises. We leave fresh vegetables out for them to munch on. They enjoy that and all roam freely and are free to come and go as they please. We have about an acre fenced in and another couple acres that goes back into the woods and they can dig under the fence and go into the woods as they please. They're pretty cool. I think its more like they own us rather that we owning them. Hope you have a great day!Come visit me, Saphira.

Yeah! I've wanted one for a long time...but the thing is that they're expensive to feed. My teacher said he spends about 40-50 bucks a month on crickets because his beardie eats so many! He's going to breed his own when he gets the time. I think he should order a ton in bulk online--they're way cheaper that way! He drives all the way to PetSmart a few times a week! Not a good idea.
