Hi! My name is Al RIP.
I am a Salamander from Buchanan.
 5 years old
 Male
 Frogs & Amphibians
 5 inches
 Al was an adorable spotted salamander who loved to eat and get fat. He was a little pig. Unfortunately, he died in 2009, for unknown reasons. He stopped eating, and as a result, lost a lot of his chubbiness, and had some strange behaviors. He was a wonderful salamander, even though he was a shy thing, and is missed. :'(

Nope, never heard of it! I'll be sure to check it out tonite and become a member. How are all your herps? I'll be hibernatin my guys this winter, so I'm trying to get them all fattened up before late November, which is when I'll start reducing their lighting. I'll feel lonely! I mean, I'll have the babies and juvies, but I'm so used to having a big lizard on my shoulder, LOL! How's Smaug doin? He still wound up? Which I don't think he would since it sounds soo cold up there in VA! I like your username, I remember when you were telling me how people would call you Rabid Reptile! I don't know what mine shuld be, mabey BeardieGirl or something. I'll leave some votes for everyone! Happy Herp'n!

I bet it does! My sister keeps turtles and tortoises(I think I already told you that!) and she CONSTANTLY has to clean their water, since theres a red-eared slider, a yellow-bellied, and a smaller red-ear, which I'm suprised the larger ones haven't done anything to her(yet). I really want to see snow! It's kinda pathetic I haven't seen any yet, all my pals have. The only thing close to snow we get in FL is frost. Whenever I see forst on the lawn, I squeal "Oh my gosh, FROST!" It drives the neighbors insane! Anyways, have a great Saturday, leavin votes for everyone! Hey! Yeah, it gets sooo hot in FL I can never wait for the cold!LOL, yeah I'm weird! That's good you don't have yo clean the painted's water! Hey! Haven't blogged ya in a while! Whats up? Hope you're having a great week so far! Tomorrow's Friday! Yes! The week felt like it flew past! How are your herps? I haven't seen the BHS skink yet, but I think he lives in my backyard because I've seen him WAY before I got on RC. It's getting a lot cooler down here, in the low 60's. I'm sure it was a BHS, I looked it up after I saw him and he looked identical to the photos.:) Rufus LOVES to climb! He's such a little ham with his branches! I'm going to add your herps on my friends profile very soon, been a bit busy with the beardies. My dragons go CRAZY during breeding season! Have a great Wednesday, left Al a vote!

Yea, I'm lucky I found him, other people were asking about him! He has alot of climbing things in his cage. He climbs all the way to the top of the highest branch in his cage to bask. He also like to watch the crickets scurry around on the other side of his cage. He's such a little ham. You should really try to go to an expo, they're lots of fun! Do you know Vladamere the bearded dragon on RC? Because me and him are going to the same expo in Orlando. I thought that was pretty cool. Guess what??? I actually saw a BHS in my backyard! I was so excited I forgot to grab my camera! GRRRRRR! I wouldn't had time anyways because right when I saw him he scurried away, but I thought it was really neat! He looked young, probablly a juvie. Yeah, I read the whole thing, LOL! Did ya hear I got a new beardie at a reptile expo??? His name's Rufus, or Ru for short! He's a great little dragon! He's a silkback, which are rare to find. They normally sell over 200 bucks, but I only got him for 50! That was a great deal. Have a nice evening, here's a vote for Al!

I know, right? I always have the beardies out, so I feel so "lonely" when my mom comes to visit. I'm always used to having a beardie riding on my shoulder. LOL! Are you thinking on getting any more salamanders, or are you still brain-storming about the reptile-project? I hope I see some cool dragons at the show, I also saw one at my local pet store that I'm interested in. The only thing is that I can't tell anyone, or they'll freak out! At least my sister's used to it.:p She's into chinchillas and all that. It's funny, because when I take a beardie out, my 2 greyhounds are always walking behind me, sniffing the poor beardie!:p Hope you're having a rep-tastic day! Left ya a vote! That stinks! I got lucky since I live in Clearwater(Florida) and the show is in Tampa, so it's at least 45 minutes to get there. My family members aren't to fond of reptiles, either. My mom thinks it's down-right disgusting that I keep beardies. Whenever she comes to visit, and I'm holding a dragon, she always shrieks and says, "EWWWW! Put that nasty thing down, Amanda!" LOL! It drives her insane! She's just glad I don't keep any snakes(yet). She thinks that if a beardie bites me, that I'm going to get rabies and get every one sick! See what I mean?:p You should come down and visit Florida! They have many expos year round. I think the best ones are in Orlando(though I haven't been to one in Orlando yet). I'm also thinking about getting some sulcata tortoises soon. At least she likes them.:p Hope you're having a great day, left Al a vote! Hey! How's everyone? I hope you had a great weekend! Have you been to any reptile expos? I'm just curious because I'm going to one in Tampa,FL on the 26th. Some people think I'm weird because I keep reptiles, especially because I'm a female.:D Whenever I tell my friends I'm going to get more beardies, they always have that Oh-No-She's-Getting-MORE? expresssion on their faces, haha! That sounds cool! I've read an article about the rough green snake, they sound interesting! I think I'll just stick with bearded dragons for now. Although I saw a albino California kingsnake at my local pet store, just like you I have zero experience with any snake, the guy was about to give me a deal though, haha! I have a "I love my herp friends!" profile with Al in it, if you don't mind. I'm still thi king about the ball python as well, they would be a great beginner snake for me since I don't own any or have no experience, lol.
