He Finally Ate!
Yay, Hal finally broke down and ate some chicken plus his turtle sticks! I'm so relieved. He had me worried because I've never seen a painted turtle refuse fresh cooked chicken before. I'm just glad that he ate.Come visit me, Touche', Krusty, Hal, Lumpy, Froggy, Ortiz, Tiffany, Squirtle & Sprocket.

Hal Won't Eat
Hal refuses to eat! I've even offered him his favorite food: cooked white meat chicken. I don't know what is wrong. I've had many turtles and none have ever refused fresh cooked chicken except Hal. He is a grumpy fellow. He looks fine. His head is held up high and he is looking around and moving; not listless.
I'm going to increase the temperature for him and make sure that he gets enough UV for now. Hopefully, he'll come around.

Awesome Painted Turtle
This turtle is awesome. I really like his colors. I have a southern painted turtle named Torque. It is about the size of a silver dollar. All my turtles I keep I try to name them after something to do with cars. I am a big car buff and am studying to be an automotive designer. My three turtles names are Turbo(yellow-belly slider), Throttle(common musk turtle, and Torque. I had to get the southern painted, because the stripe down the carapace reminded me of a racing stripe on a car. Anyway, Hal is awesome and here is a vote for you and him.Come visit me, Turbo.

Close up of Hal
Can you see his grumpy, but cute personality? Hal is adorable, but opens his mouth wide whenever I have to pick him up. His scrapes are healing, but there is some scarring on the shell.Come visit me, Touche', Krusty, Hal, Lumpy, Froggy, Ortiz, Tiffany, Squirtle & Sprocket.
