Kurt BuhlmannKurt Buhlmann, a research scientist with the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory in Aiken, S.C., has an M.S. in wildlife sciences and a Ph.D. in ecology. He helped establish Asian-turtle assurance colonies with the Turtle Survival Alliance, and he has worked with Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation. He has written a number of aquatic turtle articles for REPTILES magazine.
